Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
MAXIMUM OF 20 RESIDENTS.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide support for patients with dementia care and hospice care needs. Maintain patient hygiene and assist with mobility as required. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide updates on care. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans using medical terminology accurately. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in hospital medicine or home care settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience in hospice care or dementia care is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient service. Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a relevant training program is required. Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards patients are crucial for success in this role. $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
