Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable School-Based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support student health services across multiple high school campuses. This is a unique floating role that provides additional support to school health offices as needed while working alongside Registered Nurses and school staff to promote student health and well-being. The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents, adapts well to different environments, and is committed to providing professional, student-centered care in an educational setting.
Schedule:
Full-time position Monday through Friday Typical hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Some late-start days may begin at approximately 8:30 AM Follows the school calendar and scheduled workdays
Position Overview:
This position serves as a health office support professional assigned to various high school campuses based on operational needs. While the role may work at different campuses throughout the week, assignments are generally limited to one campus per workday. The CNA works closely with school health office staff, including Registered Nurses, to assist with daily student health needs and support overall health office operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist students visiting the health office for routine health concerns and needs Obtain and document vital signs Administer medications as directed and in accordance with established procedures Perform temperature checks and monitor students with illness symptoms Provide basic first aid, including minor wound care and scrape treatment Support health office operations through supply inventory, stocking, and organization Maintain accurate records and documentation as required Assist Registered Nurses with student health services and clinic workflow Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families when appropriate Follow all health, safety, confidentiality, and district procedures Perform other related duties as assigned to support school health services
Student Population:
The CNA will work with high school students in grades 9-12 , including both general education and special education populations.
Required Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to employment) Knowledge of basic healthcare practices and first aid procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned school campuses as needed
Preferred:
Experience working with adolescents or school-aged populations Previous experience in a school, pediatric, clinic, or community health setting Experience supporting individuals with diverse medical or educational needs
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
