Glendale, AZ Pay:
$18-$23 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
3x10hr Horizon Post Acute is looking for a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or LNA to join our team as a Shower Aide / Meal Assistant . This is a great opportunity for a CNA who enjoys providing hands-on care and making a direct impact on residents' comfort, dignity, and quality of life. In this role, you will primarily assist residents with showers, hygiene needs, feeding assistance, and evening ADL support while working closely with our nursing team. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CNA Shower Aide / Feeding Assistant to join our team. This vital role involves providing personal care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in long-term care or similar settings, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and attention to detail. Responsibilities Assist residents with bathing, showering, and grooming activities while maintaining their privacy and dignity. Support residents with feeding and hydration needs, ensuring proper nutrition intake according to individualized care plans. Monitor residents for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting concerns promptly to nursing staff. Maintain cleanliness and safety of bathing areas and resident rooms in compliance with infection control protocols. Document care provided accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a respectful and caring environment. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure residents' needs are met efficiently and compassionately during the evening shift. Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent licensure required. Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home settings preferred; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and basic patient hygiene procedures. Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and instructions from nursing staff. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact empathetically with residents and team members. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) is desirable.
