The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with handsand arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee mustfrequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25pounds. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Hiring Rate:
$30 The Instructional Lab Aide- Nursing Program will provide support to the nursing skills lab instructors for NSG 143 and NSG 153 for student competency skills check-offs on the Prescott Campus, with periodic travel to the Verde Campus for student competency skills check-offs; gathering supplies and assisting the instructors with tasks and preparing the skills lab.
- Must hold current license to practice registered nursing in the state of Arizona.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in technical procedures, supplies, and equipment innursing practice.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think critically and creatively,problem-solve, and coordinate activities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and schedule priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of the Family Education Rights andPrivacy Act (FERPA).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintainingan inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
- Assist and support students in the practice of nursing skills and remediation activities under theguidance/direction of the nursing faculty.
- Provides student orientation to lab resources.
- Provides clinical instruction
- Assists as needed in taking inventory of nursing skills supplies.
- Recommend, organize, and assist in gathering appropriate supplies for the skills lab. Assist theinstructor in maintaining the skills lab for student skills practice, scenarios and sessions.
- Knowledge of MS, email, and the Internet.
- Perform other related skills lab duties as assigned.
