Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team on a full-time basis, working Sunday through Wednesday with 10-hour shifts. In this vital role, you will support residents' recovery and well-being by assisting with restorative care plans, promoting independence, and ensuring comfort. Your energetic approach will help create a positive environment where residents thrive and feel valued. Responsibilities Implement and support individualized restorative nursing care plans to enhance residents' functional abilities. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, and grooming, using safe lifting practices such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and document residents' progress, vital signs, and responses to interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and address concerns promptly. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper manual handling procedures. Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Participate in training related to dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or other specialized areas to continually enhance your caregiving skills. Requirements Prior experience working as a nursing assistant or in senior care settings; experience with long-term care or assisted living is highly valued. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) for accurate documentation. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and teamwork. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent preferred; ongoing training in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus.
