• Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Assistant & Patient Transporter in a PACU (post-anesthesia care unit), where your energy and compassion will directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. In this vital role, you will assist nursing staff with patient care activities, ensure safe and efficient patient transfers within and out of the surgical facility, and uphold the highest standards of safety and infection control. Your proactive approach will help create a smooth, supportive environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures, while fostering teamwork among healthcare professionals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Safely transport patients via wheelchair to their rides home. Go over written discharge paperwork with patients and their rides. Assist nursing staff with basic patient care tasks, including maintaining patient comfort, assisting with ambulation, and changing. Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict hygiene standards and proper equipment cleaning procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding among the multidisciplinary team and the patient. Handle medical equipment safely and efficiently during patient transfers or routine tasks. Demonstrate knowledge of basic medical terminology and care practices relevant to surgical settings. Experience Prior experience in a medical facility or training as a medical assistant, CNA, or patient transport welcome to apply. Proven ability to perform basic care of patients with attention to safety and comfort. Knowledge of basic infection control practices within healthcare facilities. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Familiarity with standard ranges for vitals signs is highly valued. Pay:
From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.0 - 45.0 per week
