Nursing Assistant/CNA Loretta's Little Miracles - pediatric day health care facility for medically fragile children Fresno, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18.67 - $23.02 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification LVN Patient transfer methods BLS Certification Assisting with ADLs CNA Full Job Description Seeking CNA(s) to work full-time hours which will involve weekdays, weekends and overnight shifts(overnight shifts every other weekend).

Loretta's Little Miracles Nursing Director or Charge Nurse General Purpose:
To provide personal care and assistance with all activities of daily living, as well as companionship and socialization, to medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed clients as permitted by the policies and procedures of Loretta's Little Miracles and any federal, state, or local law and regulation.
Essential Functions:
Perform, assist and/or train client and caregivers in activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination, adequate nutritional intake, oral hygiene, ambulation, transferring and/or range of motion exercises. Provide companionship and socialization to clients. Utilize infection control measures such as universal precautions, handwashing, and personal protective equipment. Measure and record intake and output. Take and record TPR and blood pressure when necessary. Practice proper body mechanics. Promote safe environment and maintain unobstructed pathways while at the facility. Recognize, document, and report changes in client's condition, behavior, environment and safety to supervisor. Demonstrate courteous, cooperative, respectful and cheerful behavior to clients, families, supervisors, co-workers and others who you have contact with. Recognize emergencies and know emergency procedures. Document appropriately, accurately, and timely on daily charting notes. Accept only assignments for which you are qualified. Organize self to carry out scheduled assignments and organize tasks. Practice good grooming habits and comply with Loretta's Little Miracles dress code policy (professional uniform to be worn at all times). Attend mandatory Loretta's Little Miracles orientation, inservices, and staff meetings. Provide requested documents to keep employee file current. Perform tasks assigned by care plan/Drs. orders. The Loretta's Little Miracles Certified Nursing Assistant may not: Perform any duty or procedure, which requires the skill or education of a licensed nurse such as wound care, dispensing of medication, catheter care, or any task dealing with feeding tubes and/or intravenous equipment, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
18 years of age or older. Proof of a current and active Certified Nursing Assistant License as required by the State and Federal Regulations or a School of Nursing student in the last year of a program or has documentation from the School of Nursing verifying successful demonstration of personal care skills or a Graduate RN or LVN with proof of graduation. Proof of current CPR Proof of experience providing care to children with medical conditions similar to clients at Loretta's Little Miracles. Two (2) positive references. Passing score on the Loretta's Little Miracles Certified Nursing Assistant skills assessment quiz. Evidence of satisfactory TB and physical health status examination (
TB:
90 days prior then annually & physical: 90 days prior or 7 days after hire then bi-annually). Minimum Requirements, continued: Pass criminal background check every six months. Ability to lift, reposition, and transfer clients. Ability to carry bundles such as laundry and lift with or without assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach freely & assist clients with standing and walking. Ability to hear, speak and write in a manner understood by most people. Ability to grasp with thumb in opposition to finger and palm (i.e. manipulate DME supplies, knobs, etc). Ability to read 8 point or larger type and ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks or functions.
Pay:
$18.67 - $23.02 per hour
