Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe handling techniques like Hoyer lifts and manual transfer methods Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support ongoing patient assessment Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical documentation Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments; including engaging in memory care activities Support patients with complex needs in critical care environments like ICU or trauma centers, utilizing aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service across inpatient, outpatient, or home & community care settings Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of practice Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Prior experience in settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home health agencies is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members while demonstrating caregiver compassion and professionalism Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through your expertise and enthusiasm!
