A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.

POSITION SUMMARY
The CNA-Therapy Aide prepares residents for individual and group therapy and assists with ADLs and showers. The aide escorts residents to sessions on time and supports licensed staff within CNA scope. This role does not provide skilled PT, OT, or ST treatment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Review the daily therapy schedule and prepare assigned residents so they are toileted, dressed, groomed, and ready on time (glasses, hearing aids, splints/braces as directed). Complete assigned showers and hygiene before sessions; escort residents to and from the gym or group area. Assist therapists with setup, transfers, and positioning as directed. Do not initiate or change skilled therapy. Return residents after sessions and assist with clothing changes, toileting, and rest. Assist with
ADLs:
bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, peri-care, meals, and mobility per the care plan. Use safe transfer techniques and obtain help for two-person transfers. Report refusals, pain, fatigue, skin concerns, or condition changes to the licensed nurse and treating therapist. Document care on assigned flow sheets, ADL records, and shower logs. Follow fall-prevention, infection-control, and privacy requirements. Perform other CNA duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current California CNA certificate in good standing and current BLS/CPR. Able to follow oral and written instructions in English; Spanish preferred. Able to work a schedule aligned with therapy hours. SNF or rehab experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing, walking, bending, transferring, and pushing wheelchairs. Must lift up to 50 pounds and participate in two-person transfers. Exposure to body fluids and infectious disease; PPE required as indicated.
Pay:
From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
