Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas and ensure proper infection control practices. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs. Assist in memory care programs for patients with cognitive impairments. Support residents in nursing homes or senior care facilities by engaging them in activities that promote well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. Requirements Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is highly desirable. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is a plus. Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology to understand patient conditions. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center or similar fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to provide continuous patient care.
