Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and memory care facilities. As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while supporting the nursing staff in delivering exceptional medical care. Duties
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Help patients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
  • Provide support for medical procedures and treatments as directed by nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
  • Assist with catheter care and other specialized tasks as required in acute care settings. Experience
  • Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, or outpatient clinic is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with memory care practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical-surgical procedures is beneficial for effective patient care.
  • Experience with catheter care is desirable for roles involving more complex patient needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and their families.
