Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in the Medical Surgical and Emergency Room units during the night shift. This vital role involves delivering compassionate patient care, assisting medical staff, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, hygiene assistance, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Assist with medical procedures, medication administration, and documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health challenges. Maintain aseptic technique during procedures like catheter care and phlebotomy to prevent infection. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care, ICU, Level I Trauma Center, or Level II Trauma Center environments to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Observe and report changes in patient conditions accurately following HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed. Experience Prior CNA experience in hospital settings, including medical-surgical units or emergency departments. Critical care experience or ICU background is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or infectious disease care. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, aseptic techniques, and medication administration protocols. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like urgent care or outpatient clinics. Strong caregiving skills with experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
