$18.00- $25.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately in electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems). Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and engaging activities to promote mental well-being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers to deliver seamless patient support. Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques during clinical tasks. Ensure safe patient transfers using proper transfer methods and equipment while practicing heavy lifting safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards across various EMR/EHR platforms like Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Valid CNA certification in good standing with the state licensing board (Colorado). Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR). Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized dementia or memory care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while following safe lifting practices and heavy lifting protocols. Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care standards. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or urgent care settings.
