Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate care for children aged 0-4 years, considering safety at all times
- Read and comply with the TPC Child and Youth Protection Policy
- Have a professional appearance. Do not use your cell phone for personal reasons. Be punctual
- Greet children and adults
- Interact with children, other adult volunteers and families, using provided curriculum, Bible stories, prayers, games/activities and snacks
- Take nursery attendance
- Maintain clean spaces, clean surfaces and toys
- Oversee nursery supplies. Let the Family Ministries Director know of any supplies needed or any other needs
- Ensure children are picked up by authorized adults/family members
- Communicate any concerns/issues with the Family Ministries Director or member of the Christian Education Team
- Attend annual TPC Child & Youth Protection Training
- Report to Family Ministries Director
- Participate in an annual review
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
- Experience working with children 0-4 years old
- Be a people person
- Provide two successful references and pass a background check
- Must be physically able to perform duties
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification is a plus but TPC will provide training if needed
- Commitment to a nurturing, faith-based educational environment
- Love of children
Skills:
- Ability to work with children, families and adult volunteers
- Ability to follow simple lessons and instructions
- Good listening and communication skills
