To Whom it may concern, I am a 54-year-old gentleman who had a spinal cord injury just over 36 years ago
- something that has left me with no mobility from the shoulders down. I am in relatively good health, but need help with activities of daily living and personal care that I cannot do myself. I'm looking for a reliable individuals for now, with personal care experience, to join my current "team" of caregivers to fill the following hours that are available:
- Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday evenings for 2.5 hours per shift. I need two individuals per shift for transfers and I'm 6'3" tall. Having 3 applicants
- 2 per shift for two of the three evenings would be ideal for coverage purposes. Hours would be roughly 6pm
- 8:30pm with a 1 hour earlier start and finish on Sundays.
Having a current CNA license isn't necessary but prior experience would be a major plus. I currently pay $22 an hour during training and $23 an hour after that. I would love to have candidates with long-term availability, so to try to avoid constant turnover I offer yearly pay advancements. I'm just an individual and not an agency of any sort. I live in Storrs and would prefer applicants that are somewhat close to that area because travel time in the winter can be problematic sometimes. I know home care can sometimes be daunting and sometimes individuals are hesitant to apply because they don't know what they are getting into, so I have four YouTube videos (under my persona Doctor Quad PhD) that you may view at your leisure that I created for a diversity class that I have spoken with at UConn previously.

I appreciate your time, look forward to any applications, and hope you have a good rest of your day.
