Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols including aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Follow infection control procedures diligently during patient interactions and medical procedures to prevent infectious disease transmission. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as medical-surgical units, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient service. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support clinical tasks and patient education. Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and assist with emergency protocols including Level I Trauma Center procedures or urgent care situations. Experience Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Experience in specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, behavioral health or acute/critical care settings is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Familiarity with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy or medication administration enhances your ability to provide exceptional patient service.
