This unique contract opportunity seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide dedicated care and supervision while riding in a van with a student. The role offers consistent hoursjust 3 hours per day, Monday through Fridayand extends through the end of the school year. Qualifications:
Valid CNA certification required Experience working with children or in a school setting is highly valued Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, Type 1 diabetes care and monitoring Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school staff and families Dependability and punctuality are crucial Ability to remain calm and focused in a mobile environment
Responsibilities:
Ride in the van with the student to and from school, providing attentive care and supervision Monitor the students health, manage diabetic supplies, and respond promptly to any health needs Communicate daily observations or concerns to parents or designated school health personnel Help foster a safe, supportive, and reassuring environment for the student during transport Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school health policies Perks of this position include work-life balance with a flexible, part-time schedule and the opportunity to build meaningful connections.
