| Union 1199 Position New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation New Haven, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications CNA Full Job Description New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of Essential Care, is located in a beautiful North End of New Haven minutes from I91 and I95, on the North Haven and North Branford town line. We are also in the process of building a state of art facility with 150 private rooms to replace our current location. The new building should be complete in approximately 2 years. Come join the team as we transition into the new facility and be part of something special. We are looking for a dynamic CNA to work with our newly hired DNS, ADNS, and experienced nursing team. The right candidate will ensure top quality resident care and customer service. The right candidate must be a great communicator and communicate with staff and management alike. We just completed our Annual Survey and had minimal deficiencies and no significant findings. We are also back in compliance.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers Provide adjunct care for the patient, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings and therapeutic baths Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart Assist the nurses and other staff as needed Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards Up to date CNA certificate required for consideration.
