Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support (client is ambulatory and only needs supervision assist) Monitor and observe patient health status by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, blood sugar, and temperature regularly Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules while maintaining detailed medical documentation Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines and safeguarding sensitive medical records and personal information Preparing meals to dietary needs, light housekeeping, and laundry Driving to and accompaniment with medical appointments and errands Providing conversation, hobbies, and emotional support that keep her connected and comfortable Strong communication with family members about her day, her moods, and her needs Qualifications Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home healthcare or assisted living settings, ideally has experience with dementia Delaware HHA Certification or CNA License, in good standing Knowledge of medical terminology and conditions Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation and recognize changes in health status promptly Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training Reliable transportation and a dependable, punctual work history .
