Job Title:

Nursing Assistant Duties:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers
• Collect specimens for laboratory testing
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor patients and report any changes in their condition to the nursing staff
• Document patient care activities in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic
• Assist with procedures, such as spinal taps, gastric lavage, and ventilator management
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a nursing assistant or certified nursing assistant (CNA) program
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or CNA
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Experience working with patients in various healthcare settings, including pediatrics and behavioral health
• Familiarity with medical equipment and devices, such as dialysis machines (dialyze) and durable medical equipment (DME)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
