Certified Nurses Aide (CNA or STNA) Occupational Therapy by Dominic Boca Raton, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Paid training Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork BLS Certification State Tested Nursing Assistant Food preparation CNA Hospital experience Full Job Description About us We are a team of 7 individuals from various backgrounds including an OT, SLP, RN and CNAs. Our goal is to provide quality care and support to one 62 year old male in a home health setting during his ongoing recovery from a stroke.
Our work environment includes:
Safe work environment Flexible hours Team oriented One-on-one patient care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one care for adult male early 60's who is recovering from a left-brain stroke (CVA) resulting in right hemiplegia. The patient requires the use of electric Hoyer lift for all transfers and uses an electric wheelchair for all mobility. Fully electric hospital bed in home. Looking for a reliable and caring person with good sense of humor. Night shift available. 6pm-6am. Responsibilities Aid with daily activities including but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, and eating. Assist with Range of motion and stretching to prevent joint contractures. Assess and document vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate. Help client with mobility needs around home including use of electric Hoyer lift and electric wheelchair. Help client take prescribed medications as needed. Complete clients shopping and simple meal preparation as needed. Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. Check schedule daily for appointments. Take client to appointments in the community as needed. Ensure patient's care plan is followed. Report unusual incidents or findings to team leader (Occupational Therapist) and/or client's PCP. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency. Qualifications Patience, professionalism, and compassion. Validated ability to act in a supportive manner. Take pride in providing high-quality patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide. Prior experience working with adults in a hospital, rehabilitation, or in-home-care environment. Must enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to support the client's recovery. CPR Certificate. American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
