MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH STROKE PATIENTS AND KNOWLEDGE OF FOLEY CATHETER
Join our compassionate team as a Live-In Caregiver, providing dedicated home healthcare support to clients in Boca Raton. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including helping with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately using electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and medical documentation protocols while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or end-of-life support by implementing tailored care plans and ensuring comfort Facilitate safe patient transfers using appropriate methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques; assist with ambulation and positioning to prevent falls Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment aligned with home health care regulations Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities; communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care Experience Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly preferred Demonstrated familiarity with home health agency operations, EMR/EHR systems, and medical terminology Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to provide specialized support Knowledge of hospice care practices, dementia and memory care strategies, catheter care, and managing patients with geriatric conditions is advantageous Proven ability to perform patient transfers safely using various methods; experience with heavy lifting or equipment like Hoyer lifts is beneficial Certification in CPR and basic life support (BLS), along with first aid training, is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; understanding of home & community care standards ensures high-quality service delivery Join us in delivering exceptional live-in caregiving services that prioritize dignity, safety, and comfort.
