Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and home environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure patients receive the highest quality of care, promoting their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe handling techniques like Hoyer lifts and manual transfer methods. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management. Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive understanding of care plans and patient needs. Requirements Valid CNA certification or HHA license in accordance with state regulations. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR). Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities—and those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care. Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and compassionate bedside manner. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; manual handling experience preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed in fast-paced environments like emergency departments or urgent care clinics.
