Pediatric CNA / Aide / EMT - Paid RBT Training Opportunity Yeshua's Sanctuary - K-12 School for Students with Disabilities Yeshua's Sanctuary is seeking a compassionate and dependable Pediatric CNA, Patient Care Aide, Home Health Aide, EMT, or individual with similar hands-on care experience who is interested in working with children with disabilities and being trained to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This position will provide one-on-one support to a 6-year-old, nonverbal student who uses a wheelchair while he attends our K-12 school for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing both educational/behavioral support and personal care assistance throughout the school day.
Position Details Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-2:00
PM Pay:
$25.00 per hour Consistent, set daytime hours Paid holidays Paid RBT training Professional training and development opportunities Opportunity to gain experience working within the ABA and special education fields About the Student You will primarily work one-on-one with a 6-year-old student who is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair . He requires a caring, attentive individual who can assist him throughout his school day while helping him safely and successfully participate in classroom activities.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing one-on-one support throughout the school day Assisting with wheelchair mobility and positioning Providing toileting and bathroom assistance Assisting with personal care needs as appropriate Supporting communication and participation in classroom activities Helping the student transition between activities and areas of the school Following individualized behavioral and educational plans Collecting data and implementing ABA programs after appropriate training Working closely with teachers, RBTs, BCBAs, and other members of the student's support team Maintaining the student's dignity, privacy, safety, and independence at all times Become an RBT — Training Provided! You do not need to already be an RBT to apply. We are specifically interested in candidates with healthcare or direct-care backgrounds who would like to transition into the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Yeshua's Sanctuary will provide and pay for the training necessary to help the selected candidate work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician. Meet Candidates With Experience As:
Pediatric CNAs, CNAs, patient care aides, home health aides, personal care assistants, EMTs, medical assistants, direct support professionals, behavioral health technicians, or other professionals with experience providing hands-on care to children or individuals with disabilities. Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, reliable, energetic, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care. Because this position is dedicated to supporting a young child with significant needs, candidates should be comfortable assisting with toileting, mobility, communication, and activities of daily living while encouraging as much independence as possible.
