Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include: Providing companionship and senior care Assisting with personal care, bathing, grooming, and dressing Assisting with mobility, walking, transfers, and fall-prevention strategies Preparing meals and assisting with meal planning Light housekeeping and household organization Laundry and linen changes Providing medication reminders Providing transportation to appointments, shopping, and errands Providing respite care for family caregivers Supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia Assisting clients during post-hospital recovery Providing attentive supervision and safety support Encouraging independence and meaningful daily activities Communicating changes or concerns to the Comfort Keepers office team Providing dependable, professional care according to each client's individualized plan Caregiver Requirements To provide safe, dependable care to our clients, applicants must: Have reliable transportation Have a valid driver's license Be able to reliably travel to client homes in and around Broward County Be dependable and punctual for scheduled client shifts Be authorized to work in the United States Be able to successfully complete the required AHCA Level II fingerprint background screening Have valid CPR certification Have a physical exam completed within the last 6 months Have a negative TB test or chest X-ray Demonstrate professional, compassionate, and dependable communication Be committed to providing respectful, reliable, person-centered care Reliable transportation is required for this position. AHCA Level II fingerprint/background screening is also required. Caregiving Experience Previous caregiving experience is preferred, particularly experience providing senior care, dementia care, personal care, companionship, private duty care, or in-home assistance.
