Expert Care Is Coming to Durbin Park. 100 Flagler Health Way St. Johns, FL 32259 In the fall of 2026, UF Health will open UF Health Durbin Park Hospital, a transformative new health care destination in St. Johns County, Florida. Rising five stories and spanning approximately 220,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art hospital will feature 99 inpatient beds designed for comfort, innovation and exceptional outcomes. In addition, UF Health Durbin Park Hospital will feature a 24-hour Emergency Department. Dubin Park is nestled on 42.5-acre health and wellness campus that will advance health care services as part of UF's regional expansion plan for Jacksonville and St. Johns County. Come join our team!
Responsibilities:
Perioperative nursing is a specialized area of practice. Registered nurses practicing as first assistants in surgery are functioning in an expanded perioperative nursing role. First assisting behaviors are further refinements of perioperative nursing practice and are executed within the context of the nursing process. These behaviors include certain delegated medical functions that can be assumed by the RN who is qualified to practice as an RNFA. Registered nurse first assistant behaviors may vary depending on patient populations, practice environments, service provided, accessibility of human and fiscal resources, institutional policy, and state nursing regulations.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Associate's degree in Nursing must have a BSN within 3 years of hire
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida Certified in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) BLS from the
American Heart Association Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
Certification as an RNFA through CCI or other recognized RNFA Program.
Required Experience:
3-5 years Diversified perioperative experience
