Position Summary We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team. The CNA/HHA will provide personalized non-medical and personal care services to clients in their homes, assisted living communities, or other approved care settings. Caregivers are expected to follow each client's individualized care plan while promoting independence, safety, comfort, and companionship. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist with safe transfers, walking, positioning, and mobility. Provide fall-prevention support and maintain a safe environment for clients. Provide companionship, conversation, and social interaction. Assist with meal preparation and encourage proper nutrition and hydration. Provide medication reminders as directed by the client's care plan. Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, changing linens, dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Assist clients with errands, shopping, appointments, and transportation when authorized. Support clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, or other age-related conditions. Assist clients following hospitalization or rehabilitation as they safely transition back home. Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, mobility, or needs to the appropriate supervisor. Document services provided accurately and complete required timesheets and care documentation. Follow the client's individualized plan of care and all company policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times. Provide respectful, patient, and compassionate care while protecting each client's dignity and independence. Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team. Respond appropriately to emergencies and immediately report safety concerns or incidents according to company procedures.
Qualifications Applicants should:
Hold a current CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification , as applicable to the position. Have experience providing care to seniors or individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living. Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and individualized care plans. Be able to work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors. Be dependable and punctual for scheduled assignments. Be able to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers as required by the individual assignment. Have reliable transportation to client assignments. Meet all applicable employment, screening, training, and documentation requirements established by InterCoastal Home Health Care and Florida law. Preferred Qualifications Previous home care, senior care, assisted living, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience. Experience working with clients with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Experience with fall prevention and mobility assistance. Experience providing post-hospitalization care. CPR/First Aid certification. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
