Job Summary A.H. of Monroe County, Inc. dba Keys Health + Housing is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Key West. This is a unique position combining clinical support, patient care, and front-office responsibilities . The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with patients while also being comfortable assisting with scheduling, medical records, insurance-related tasks, and day-to-day clinic operations. You'll work closely with our medical providers and other team members to help create an efficient, professional, confidential, and welcoming environment for everyone we serve. Duties Clinical & Patient Support Prepare and room patients for appointments Obtain and document vital signs Perform medication reconciliation and document medical histories Assist medical providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures within your training and scope of practice Assist with patient follow-up, referrals, and coordination of care Prepare exam rooms and maintain medical supplies and equipment Assist with ordering medical supplies Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Phlebotomy experience is a plus, but not required Medical Office & Administrative Support Schedule appointments using our Elation Health EMR Assist with medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations Welcome and check in patients and visitors Answer and direct incoming phone calls Maintain organized electronic and paper documentation Assist with correspondence, filing, and outgoing mail Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming reception and common area The right candidate will have: Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant training/experience Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Commitment to protecting patient privacy and confidentiality Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality requirements A dependable, flexible, and professional approach to work Familiarity with HIV/AIDS and community resources is preferred Experience with EMR systems is a plus College degree is not required , though additional education is preferred This is an opportunity to become part of a mission-driven healthcare organization serving the Key West community.
