Position Summary The CNA is responsible for providing compassionate resident care and assisting residents with the self-administration of medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, community policies, and established nursing standards. This role supports residents in Memory Care while promoting safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Team members are expected to communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and fellow staff to ensure continuity of care and excellent service. We are willing to train the right individual who has a passion for serving seniors and a desire to learn and grow in senior living. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, personal care, and treatments according to individualized care plans. Assist residents with the self-administration of medications in accordance with state regulations and community policies. Observe and verify that medications are taken or applied as directed and document any refusals or missed medications according to policy. Maintain accurate and confidential resident care and medication records. Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nursing leadership. Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents' families regarding care needs, concerns, and updates as appropriate. Coordinate medication services with physicians, pharmacies, residents, and family members. Track medication orders, refills, and changes. Complete narcotic counts at the beginning and end of shifts and report discrepancies immediately. Maintain medication carts and medication rooms in a clean, organized, and secure manner. Follow infection control procedures, including universal precautions and bloodborne pathogen protocols. Promote a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and team members. Support teamwork and collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to community dress code standards. Float between Assisted Living / Memory Care areas as needed to support resident care and operational needs. Report incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences according to policy. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Current CNA license and/or Medication Technician certification preferred, as required by Florida regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior services is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates compassion, reliability, and a strong desire to care for seniors. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, physicians, and team members. Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on resident safety and quality care. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Successful completion of Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting is required in accordance with Florida state regulations.
