Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks like catheter care, wound care, or medication administration under supervision Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times during documentation and communication Use proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer patients with varying mobility needs Observe and report changes in patient conditions promptly to nursing staff, including symptoms related to infectious diseases or neurological changes Assist with patient transfers utilizing safe transfer methods and equipment while following aseptic techniques to prevent infection Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, or home care is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and CPR certified Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) like Epic or Cerner enhances your ability to document accurately and efficiently Background in specialized care areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, dementia/memory care, or pediatrics is advantageous Familiarity with patient transfer methods, medical documentation standards, and infection control practices is required Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related needs Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach are key to providing exceptional patient service This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their healthcare careers while making a positive impact.
