Job Description
Overview St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niceville, FL is looking for a nursery worker to provide childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old on Sunday mornings (8:00 AM to 12:00 PM) as well as Wednesday nights (5:15 PM to 8:15 PM). This employee should be dedicated to serving families with children and infants and also possess a strong Christian faith background. Duties Supervise and engage children during play and learning activities Read Bible Stories Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other basic childcare needs in accordance with health and safety standards Implement age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development and early learning goals Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child welfare or safety Encouraging positive behavior and social interactions among children Experience 1 year Child Care experience (Preferred) Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or similar health and safety training (St Paul will pay for certification if needed) Ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children of diverse backgrounds A background check will be required before scheduling the interview. Pay is $16/hour, with a guaranteed 4 hours every Sunday and 3 hours every Wednesday when applicable. There may be other opportunities during the week for additional paid nursery care that will be scheduled as needed. These additional work opportunities are not required but may be needed from time to time and notice will be given at least one week in advance.
