Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment. Assist in patient transfers using safe transfer methods and equipment; support mobility efforts for patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring assisted living services. Maintain aseptic technique during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient service, including post-acute care and hospice needs, across inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualifications Valid CNA certification or license in accordance with state requirements. Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or in long-term care facilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for medical documentation and patient data management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) certification. Prior experience in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physically capable of manual handling tasks involved in patient transfer methods.
