Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all individuals under your care. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems. Support medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (CPR) when needed. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accurate medical documentation. Use proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs. Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and infectious disease care standards, to uphold safety standards across all environments. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's care experience preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures including vital signs measurement. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong caregiving communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service. Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU or trauma centers—and home & community care settings is advantageous.
