Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts Monitor and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature Observe patients closely for changes in condition and report findings promptly to nursing staff or supervisors Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure nutritional needs are met in home or community settings Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for residents or clients Document records accurately and thoroughly in electronic systems to ensure continuity of care Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities Skills Strong patient observation skills to detect subtle changes in health status Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of assisting with ADLs and providing comprehensive senior care or hospice support Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid required; additional certifications such as dementia or Alzheimer's care are a plus Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts, blood pressure cuffs and thermometers Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges preferred Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Flexibility to work various shifts including live-in arrangements if needed Join our team where your caring nature fuels positive change!
