Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate home healthcare team as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) caregiver, dedicated to providing exceptional in-home care that promotes independence, comfort, and dignity for our clients. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance with daily activities, monitor patient health, and support families through compassionate caregiving. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring proper infection control practices. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure clarity about care plans while documenting all interactions within electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Skills Ability to perform patient observation diligently and recognize changes in condition that require escalation or intervention. Familiarity with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and safe lifting techniques; experience working with heavy lifting is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and healthcare teams; adept at maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations. Certifications such as CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and Home & Community Care experience are preferred but not mandatory; training provided if needed.
