- Assists the patient in the activities of daily living (ADL), including personal care, hygiene, baths, shampoo, planning/preparing meals, eating, dressing, ambulation and changing/making patient's bed
- Encourages the family members to participate in patients' care while giving and providing support
- Provides companionship to the patient
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment while using equipment and supplies safely and properly
- Reminds patient of medication as ordered by the physician
- Takes and records accurate patient vital signs when advised
- Informs Registered Nurse (RN) and/or RN designee of changes in patients' condition
- Document activities and findings while submitting documentation as required by company procedures Required documents (We cannot accept expired or illegible documents)
- CNA License/ HHA Certificate
- Health Statement (within 6 months that states you are "free of communicable diseases." Usually a TB test or chest X-ray.)
- Driver's License or Identification Card
- Social Security Card
- CPR Card (American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute, or Red Cross)
- Level 2 Background
- HIV/Aids Certificate (2 hours)
- Assisting with Self-Medication CEU (2 hours)
- Alzheimer's CEU (3 hours)
- Auto Insurance Policy (if willing to transport clients)
