The CNA provides non-medical in-home care and personal support to seniors and other individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. The caregiver is responsible for providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable care while following the client's individualized care plan and Hands of an Angel Homecare's policies and procedures. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including: Bathing and showering Dressing and undressing Grooming and personal hygiene Toileting Incontinence care Oral care Shaving and basic grooming Assistance with morning and bedtime routinesMOBILITY & SAFETY
Provide appropriate assistance with: Walking and ambulation Transfers Positioning Use of mobility equipment within the caregiver's scope Bathroom safety Fall prevention General safety awareness Caregivers should immediately report changes in condition, safety concerns, falls, injuries, or other concerns according to company policy.COMPANIONSHIP
Help clients remain socially engaged and emotionally supported through: Conversation Reading Games Hobbies Walks Social activities Accompanying clients to activities when authorized Providing positive encouragement and companionshipMEAL PREPARATION
Assist with: Meal preparation Serving meals Light kitchen cleanup Encouraging appropriate hydration Following established dietary instructions within the caregiver's scope Reporting concerns regarding eating or hydrationLIGHT HOUSEKEEPING
Assist with maintaining a clean and comfortable client environment, including: Laundry Changing linens Making beds Washing dishes Light dusting Sweeping and vacuuming Taking out trash General tidying of areas used by the clientMEDICATION REMINDERS
Provide medication reminders according to the client's established care plan and applicable requirements.Caregivers do not diagnose, prescribe, or make medication decisions .
ERRANDS & TRANSPORTATION
When authorized and applicable, caregivers may assist clients with: Grocery shopping Personal errands Prescription pickup Appointments Community activities Other approved activitiesSPECIALIZED CLIENT SUPPORT
