POSITION SUMMARY

The CNA provides non-medical in-home care and personal support to seniors and other individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. The caregiver is responsible for providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable care while following the client's individualized care plan and Hands of an Angel Homecare's policies and procedures. Our ideal caregiver is someone who is: Compassionate and caring Reliable and punctual Professional and respectful Patient and understanding Dependable and responsible A good communicator Comfortable working with seniors Able to work independently Attentive to client safety Willing to go above and beyond for clients and their families

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESPERSONAL CARE

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including: Bathing and showering Dressing and undressing Grooming and personal hygiene Toileting Incontinence care Oral care Shaving and basic grooming Assistance with morning and bedtime routines

MOBILITY & SAFETY

Provide appropriate assistance with: Walking and ambulation Transfers Positioning Use of mobility equipment within the caregiver's scope Bathroom safety Fall prevention General safety awareness Caregivers should immediately report changes in condition, safety concerns, falls, injuries, or other concerns according to company policy.

COMPANIONSHIP

Help clients remain socially engaged and emotionally supported through: Conversation Reading Games Hobbies Walks Social activities Accompanying clients to activities when authorized Providing positive encouragement and companionship

MEAL PREPARATION

Assist with: Meal preparation Serving meals Light kitchen cleanup Encouraging appropriate hydration Following established dietary instructions within the caregiver's scope Reporting concerns regarding eating or hydration

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING

Assist with maintaining a clean and comfortable client environment, including: Laundry Changing linens Making beds Washing dishes Light dusting Sweeping and vacuuming Taking out trash General tidying of areas used by the client

MEDICATION REMINDERS

Provide medication reminders according to the client's established care plan and applicable requirements.

Caregivers do not diagnose, prescribe, or make medication decisions .

ERRANDS & TRANSPORTATION

When authorized and applicable, caregivers may assist clients with: Grocery shopping Personal errands Prescription pickup Appointments Community activities Other approved activities

SPECIALIZED CLIENT SUPPORT

Hands of an Angel Homecare serves clients with a variety of needs, including: Seniors aging in place Dementia and memory care needs Fall-risk clients Post-hospitalization clients Post-surgical clients Hospice clients Clients needing companionship Clients needing assistance with personal care Clients needing respite support Experience with dementia, hospice, fall prevention, or senior care is a plus .

BE A TEAM PLAYER

Work cooperatively with families, office staff, hospice teams, facility staff, and other members of the client's care team when appropriate.

CNA or PCA experience preferred, based on position requirements Previous caregiving or senior-care experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with clients and families Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions Reliable transportation to assigned clients Ability to pass required background and employment screening Ability to provide required employment documentation Current certifications or credentials required for the position, as applicable Must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and compassion
