Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic medication administration under supervision. Maintain patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, ensuring timely intervention. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times during documentation and communication. Assist with patient transfer methods using appropriate equipment and techniques for safe mobility across various settings like ICU or trauma centers. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy basics, and physiology relevant to patient care. Experience in specialized areas such as critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, hospice care, or post-acute settings is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while following safe lifting practices; physical stamina is essential.
