Nursing Assistant Job Description •Pay varies per years of experience•Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing high-quality care to patients, particularly in geriatrics and acute care settings. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing staff and ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during their stay. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Help with mobility by lifting and transferring patients safely. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner. Provide support in various settings including Level I Trauma Centers, critical care units, assisted living facilities, and operating rooms (OR). Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Respond promptly to patient calls and needs, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas. Requirements Previous experience in geriatrics or acute care settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record systems is a plus. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility needs. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent training is required.
