Job Description
Job Overview We are hiring a CNA to provide in-home personal care and daily living support to a medically fragile pediatric client with cerebral palsy who is non-verbal, non-ambulatory, and fully dependent on caregivers. The client requires assistance with all activities of daily living, feeding of a pureed/soft-food diet, and continuous safety supervision. All care is provided under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (LPN/RN) in accordance with GAPP guidelines. Schedule is 3pm to 8pm Monday thru Friday. Responsibilities Assist the client with all activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting/incontinence and perineal care Assist with feeding of a pureed/soft-food diet using proper positioning and pacing to help prevent choking or aspiration Assist with repositioning, transfers, and mobility, including wheelchair positioning Support passive range-of-motion (ROM) activities as directed by the supervising nurse Observe the client closely and report any changes in condition, behavior, seizure activity, or safety concerns to the supervising nurse immediately Maintain a clean, safe home care environment and follow aspiration, seizure, and infection-control precautions Document care and daily observations accurately per agency and GAPP standards Communicate respectfully and effectively with the client's family and agency staff Experience Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Georgia Current CPR certification Negative TB screening or chest X-ray Ability to pass an
