The ideal candidate will commit to working to enhance the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities, personal care, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. While this position emphasizes home care, candidates should be adaptable and able to assist in a variety of healthcare environments, such as clinics, inpatient facilities, or outpatient centers, as needed. This role requires a commitment of high-quality, client-centered care and an understanding of the unique needs of veterans, especially in terms of mobility assistance, personal hygiene support, and companionship. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal hygiene, to ensure their comfort and dignity. Provide additional support with simple, non-clinical tasks as needed, maintaining a professional and attentive presence in the home care setting. Document client care activities accurately, ensuring compliance with home care and healthcare regulations. Collaborate effectively with other care team members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, consistent, and high-quality client care. Qualifications Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar care giving role, particularly in home care or community settings, is preferred. Familiarity with caring for individuals in home settings, and any experience with veterans is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, families, and healthcare team members. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others and improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Basic understanding of care practices and protocols related to home care and client well-being. Willingness to complete a background check and fingerprinting prior to hire. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required. Current TB test (within the past year) or willingness to complete one prior to hire. Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional care and support to those in need.
