35 hours per week: 5 hours per day, 7 days per week (weekends included) About the Role Abundant Life Assisted Services is looking for a dependable, compassionate caregiver to support an adult client in his home in the East Point area. The client uses a power wheelchair and needs full, hands-on help with daily activities. He is alert, friendly, and communicates clearly. This role suits someone experienced with total-care clients who wants a consistent, long-term assignment. Responsibilities Personal care Transfer the client between bed, chair, and wheelchair using a Hoyer lift. Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, including full incontinence care. Provide routine skin care, and clean around an indwelling urinary catheter. Give reminders and cues for bowel and bladder routines. File nails. No clipping or cuticle cutting. Home and nutrition Prepare meals, wash dishes, and keep fluids within the client's reach before leaving.

Do light housekeeping:

change linens, clean the bathroom, kitchen, and appliances, take out trash, vacuum and mop, do laundry, and iron. Grocery shop, or escort the client to the store. Support and safety Give medication reminders and pick up prescriptions. No administering. Escort the client to appointments and help with scheduling. Encourage simple exercise, limb elevation, rest, and social activity. Make sure the phone is within reach before you leave, and provide watchful supervision. Report any change in condition, falls, or incidents to your supervisor promptly. Requirements CNA, PCA, or HHA certification preferred. [Adjust to your agency's policy.] Hands-on Hoyer lift experience is required. Experience with total-care or wheelchair-dependent clients and incontinence care. Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test. Current CPR/First Aid, or willingness to obtain it. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance. Able to lift and assist with transfers safely, using proper body mechanics. Reliable, punctual, and respectful of client privacy.
