Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to residents in various care settings. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report any changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff. Support medication administration and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal delivery while adhering to dietary restrictions and care plans. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Assist with transportation for appointments or outings, offering personal transportation assistance as needed. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans for individuals with dementia, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and best practices for patient personal care assistance. Hands-on experience with specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Familiarity with medication administration protocols, first aid procedures, CPR certification, and basic life support skills. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities supports your ability to deliver empathetic care across various needs.
