Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated DSPs, CNAs, PCAs, or CAIs to join our caregiving teams. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to support and improve the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, or individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives by providing attentive personal care, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), and fostering a safe, respectful environment. All positions are paid and require a commitment to delivering high-quality care with professionalism and empathy. Various locations and shifts available. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep and toileting to promote independence and dignity. Assist with errands and shopping as needed.

Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to assess residents' health status regularly. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social engagement and participation in activities. Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs. Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas in accordance with health standards and facility policies. Document care provided accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for compliance and communication purposes. Follow infection control procedures diligently, including proper hand hygiene and sanitation practices. Support residents during meal preparation and feeding when necessary, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences. Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing first aid or CPR when required, ensuring resident safety at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, dementia care, memory care, and Alzheimer's care techniques. Familiarity with medication reminder protocols and vital signs monitoring. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals who have developmental disabilities or geriatrics needs. Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident care activities. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, team members, and healthcare professionals. Valid CPR and first aid certification; ongoing training preferred to stay current on safety procedures. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment that values respect and inclusivity. Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to home & community care or group home activities is an asset.
