Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and vital signs monitoring, with experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, or home care. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including those with complex medical needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities. The CNA will be responsible for supporting nursing staff and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR and EHR systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care needs, or behavioral health conditions. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Assist with catheter care, wound care, and other medical-surgical procedures as directed by nursing staff. Support patients in post-acute care settings, outpatient clinics, or inpatient units across various departments including ICU, PICU, ER, or hospice care. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in teaching hospitals or community-based settings to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations while managing medical documentation and records accurately. Utilize EMR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to document patient information efficiently. Experience Prior experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Background in specialized areas such as infectious disease care, acute care, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings enhances candidacy. Familiarity with advanced skills like phlebotomy, medication administration, and use of medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts is advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care scenarios. Proven ability to work effectively within EMR/EHR systems and maintain detailed medical records while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
