Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver in Lawrenceville, dedicated to providing exceptional weekend care to individuals in need of support and companionship. This vital role offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering personalized, respectful, and comprehensive home care. You will be instrumental in promoting independence, safety, and well-being within the comfort of clients' homes during weekend hours. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's . Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare teams or family members. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs through engaging activities and specialized care techniques. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper infection control practices. Document all care activities meticulously, including patient observations, medication administration, and updates to care plans. Qualifications Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance training preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or hospice needs is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts required. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
