Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various settings. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will provide essential support to nursing teams by assisting with patient care, ensuring comfort, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, recording findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks such as catheter care, wound care, or medication administration under supervision. Maintain patient safety through proper manual handling techniques, safe lifting practices like Hoyer lift operation, and adherence to infection control protocols including aseptic techniques. Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient transfers and communicate changes in patient condition promptly. Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families, especially those requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's care. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state or relevant licensing body. Experience working in various healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care settings. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to patient care across different age groups including geriatrics and pediatrics. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts, and manual handling with proper technique. Basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it upon hire; CPR certification is highly valued. Strong communication skills for caregiving roles that require clear interaction with patients with developmental disabilities or those experiencing memory loss. $14.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 35.0 per week
