The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of resident rights, memory care practices, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide memory care support to residents with cognitive impairments, ensuring their needs are met compassionately. Observe and document patient behavior and health status to report any changes to nursing staff. Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences of residents. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in resident areas. Uphold resident rights by treating each individual with dignity and respect while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Assist in lifting and transferring residents safely using proper techniques to prevent injury. Qualifications Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a nursing home or similar environment. Knowledge of memory care practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Ability to lift and assist residents as needed while following safety protocols.
