Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver CNA/PCA to provide exceptional support and personal care to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor patients' vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report findings accurately to healthcare team members Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans developed by nursing staff Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through regular cleaning duties and proper infection control practices Provide companionship, emotional support, and effective communication to foster trust and comfort Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety protocols are followed Skills Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and patient observation techniques Familiarity with patient monitoring equipment and procedures including vital signs measurement and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts Ability to adhere to resident's rights, confidentiality standards (HIPAA), and safety protocols including CPR and first aid certification Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within healthcare settings Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Competence in assisting with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining proper body mechanics This role is perfect for caring professionals committed to making a difference through compassionate service.
