Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-1pm Saturday 8am-12pm Sunday 9am-12pm Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive experience for patients and their families while supporting the clinical team with essential caregiving duties. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic wound care following aseptic techniques. Help transfer patients safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure proper manual handling practices are followed to prevent injury. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR). Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers to deliver seamless patient care. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (CPR). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice or home care environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members. ValidTB CPR CNA/PCA CERTIFICATION
